About The Water Shed.

The Water Shed pumping and irrigation started trading on the 1st April, 1986. Conceived from the idea that existing pumping and irrigation businesses were not supplying the type of service required by clients in the Innisfail and Tully area.

Rob and Jenny Webber commenced trading in a small showroom and double shed in the Goondi Trade Centre on the northern outskirts of Innisfail.

Through hard work and perserverance, the small buisness began to grow to meet an ever increasing demand. With demand increasing for reliable service in the Tully area, another store was established there on 1st April, 1989.

Both shops continued to expand and the emphasis was then placed on expanding the product range from pumps and irrigation to include swimming pool chemicals, pool pumps, pool accessories and diesel engines.

Soon other products followed, the most notable being lawn and garden care equipment. With all this expansion it became obvious that existing premises were too small to comfortably handle the volume of buisness.

Tully was the first to move into larger premises in 1991 when a larger shed was built in the existing complex. Then in June 1995, with the Innisfail shop bursting at the seams, it was decided to purchase the DPI Institute of Food Technology complex on Goondi Mill Road, some 400 metres from the existing shop.

Extensive renovations were needed to transform the office area into a showroom office area comprising some 210m2 of showroom / sales area and 180m2 of administration space. The move into the new Water Shed was completed in October 1995.

July 1997 saw the completion of a 216m2 self contained shed at the rear of the showroom /office complex for the storage of stock and to house a much needed small engine workshop. Workshop service started in January 1998 with the employment of a full time qualified small engine mechanic.

In September 1998 The Water Shed was appointed as Innisfail and Tully distributor for Arctic Cat ATV fourwheeler motorcycles.
